Estimation of Technical Efficiency in Tea Farms at Plantation Level: A Review

The systematic literature review of 111 abstracts has been conducted to comprehensively compile the empirical studies 21 complete text papers from all over globe in context estimation or determination technical efficiency (TE) at plantation level tea production system (TPS), by adopting two methodologies viz., stochastic frontier analysis (SFA) and data envelopment (DEA) during period 2012-2022. Investigation these revealed that average TE (TEmean) growers (TG)s around computed using both approaches is 67.98%, which showcased TGs have ability increase green leaf (GTL) 32.02% through better utilization available resources technology. influence various factors on had contradictory outcomes, broke new ground for future research.
